I really enjoyed this book. There were plenty of twists and turns in the story to keep me interested and the characters were well developed. The location descriptions made me want to visit both Maine, and Florence. I'll be reading this one a second time at some point to make sure I didn't miss any clues to the ending.

Very good novel. I enjoy Nora Roberts for interesting plots and her strong romantic characters but just as important there is always a thought, quote, or string of words that commune with your soul translating into personal understanding of your own world.

I enjoyed this romance, and havne't read one of her earlier books for a while. I can see how she has grown as a writer, but I still enjoyed this one.

I was unsure what to expect with this story but should not have second guessed anything. This book is vintage Nora Roberts: suspenseful romance at its best. A definite read.

Good. I like Nora Roberts when she adds mystery to her romance. This was a fun easy read.
The Maine air is bitterly cold when Dr. Miranda Jones arrives at the family home after a bust lecture tour. But her blood turns to ice when she suddenly feels the knife against her throat.
The unseen assailant steals her bags, slashes her tires, and disappears. Deeply shaken, Miranda is determined to put the experience behind her. Distraction comes when she is summoned to Italy - to verify the authenticity of a Renaissance bronze of a Medici courtesan known as The Dark Lady. But instead of cementing Miranda's reputation as the leading expert in the ield, the job nearly destroys it when her professional judgement is called into question. Emotionally estranged from her mother, with a brother immersed in his own troubles, Miranda has no one to turn to ... except Ryan Boldari, a seductive art thief whose own agenda forces them into a reluctant alliance.
Now it becomes clear that the incident in Maine was not a simple mugging - and that The Dark Lady mat possess as many secrets as it's beautiful namesake once did. For Miranda, forced heavily to rely on herself - and a partner who offers her both unnerving suspicion and intoxicating passion - the only way home is filled with deception, treachery, and a danger that threatens them all.

I thoroughly enjoyed this mystery and love story. It kept me guessing until the end. A fast read, and splendid vistas.
4.5 stars from my point of view. 456 pages of intrigue based on art and art history. A good "Roberts" read.
Once again,Roberts delivers unforgettable characters, unlikely new twists and phenomenal descriptive narration. Ryan Boldari is one of the most adorable characters she's written, even though he's a thief he's an irristiable one. Wonderful layering, great secondary stories -

"Homeport" tells the story of Dr. Miranda Jones, a cold-on-the-outside but warm-on-the-inside art historian whose family name is synonomous with art and relics. Her parents are cold and remote, but all the same she has entered the family business and has carved out a name of her own. Into this scenario steps Ryan Boldari, a handsome, charming, family man who happens to be an art thief. Together he and Miranda must find out who is trying to steal a priceless statue and ruin the Standford-Jones reputation.
This book provided a wonderful romantic story, with a strong heroine and an equally strong (not sappy) hero in Ryan. Some of the most heartwarming parts were the most realistic -- Ryan taking Miranda home to dinner with his family, Miranda simultaneously heartbroken for and furious at her alcoholic brother Andrew

This was an interesting book with good characters and a good plot. I always like the art thief...
I really enjoyed this mystery-romance.
This was a great book. The story was compelling and the author developed the characters well enough that you genuinely cared about them. The end didn't disappoint either. I highly recommend this book.

Intrigue abounds in a fast-paced tale laced with larceny and love.
Good. But not as good as some of Nora's books.
Light, fun read. Typical feel-good Roberts romance with a bit of mystery thrown in for fun.
Murder, romance and art.
Wonderful book, I love this author. I have read almost all her books. 1-5 I give it a 5
She really makes you think.
I haven't read it! This was a book I inherited and would like to pass onto someone else. :) Condition of cover and pages is good.
very heart warming
I could hardly put it down!
This one was a little slow for me, but it's Nora Roberts. It's still worth the time to sit back and read it.
Another good book by Roberts!

I really enjoyed this mystery-romance. There is one problem with the book condition. A cookie was closed inside the book and oil stained a few pages. It's still readable, I would accept it. Dust cover still on it and otherwise in good condition.
I have 2 copies of this book and I have not read it.
