Funk as part of the Jesus Seminar through an impressive investigation attempts to decide who the historical Jesus was. This book is an attempt to reinvent Jesus for the modern age. Although I didn't agree with some of Funk's findings, this book gives an excellent introduction to the rudiments of biblical scholarship.It was an interesting and provocative read.
