This little novella focuses on what happens during the earliest days of marriage, particularly between Sophie and Edouard Lefevre. She was a shop girl who fell in love with a man who kept coming back to buy scarves from her. Eventually, he asks her to pose for him so he can paint her portrait. The first attempts are unsuccessful but finally he is able to capture who she really is. Of couse, they fall in love and he proposes but Sophie feels inadequate when she realizes how many women he has painted successfully. They are obvioiusly soul mates and in spite of the jealous doubts one woman sews in Sophie's mind, they declare every day as a honeymoon day. Nice little story.
a short Jojo Moyes book. Everything she writes is good but nothing beats Me Before You.
