The mysteries in this well-written book are interesting. However, the budding May-December romance between the heroine and her best friends' father who was her neighbor her whole life...is unsettling.
Their books group is a fun group of characters and each of them are fun to "get to know."
I'm not quite sure if I'll keep up reading the otherwise good series because of things like this guy's obvious physical attraction and his memories of her when she was 7 and playing with his daughter.

This one, has a string figures convention as it's setting. The owner of a celebrated lost book about the art of string figures (think Cat's cradle) is murdered and Megan, Ryan and the book club gang investigate. The string figure business is only a couple of paragraphs at the beginning of a few chapters and I skipped it. Still a fun, cozy read.

#2 in series Wonderful fun read with each chapter sharing instructions for a different string games trick.

I like this series very much, cozy, easy read and fun. She has a great sense of humour, and her characters are great to read about. My type of book for sure. Not complicated, just fun to read.
I just cannot get past the main character constantly being referred to as the short, cute redhead over and over and over again. Otherwise, it might not be such a bad book.
