A great coming of age novel about a Polish American girl dealing with her parents adoption of a child from Poland. She uses her music to grow. Her dreams of being an accordian player in an all girl polka band helps her get over the hurt of having to share her parents with another child. This is a unique concept to an age old story.

Being Polish I especially enjoyed this book. It's the story of a New England family who takes in a young relative from Poland and the joys & sorrows that come with her!
