Author: Tucker Max
My name is Tucker Max, and I am an asshole. I get excessively drunk at inappropriate times, disregard social norms, indulge every whim, ignore the consequences of my actions, mock idiots and posers, sleep with more women than is safe or reasonable, and just generally act like a raging dickhead. But, I do contribute to humanity in one very import...  more »

At times I laughed so hard I could barely breathe, but mostly, this book made me fear for humanity. Far from just being an "asshole," as he calls himself, I sincerely believe this guy is a narcissistic sociopath. That, and I'm pretty sure his book gave my bookmark chlamydia.

Funny, funny, funny!!! Do not attempt to read this book if you are easily offended. I read this book with my book club and we laughed our heads off...another tip is, don't try to read this in public because you will laugh so hard you will make those around you uncomfortable. I will be the first to admit that this book is not for everyone, you will either love it or hate it but you will surely laugh at many of the stories.

This book is a guilty pleasure in every sense of the word. It's hard to imagine anybody having anything to do with this guy, yet he comes off as completely likeable. Check all your sensitivities at the door! I was at once repulsed and intrigued.

I tried to enjoy this, I really did. It was not the crude humor or sexist comments that bothered me, though. It was the overriding notion that this guy is a complete tool! He seems like the ultimate "bro" who thinks his antics are just the absolute limit of socially unacceptable behavior, but really isn't doing anything all that original or special. The idea that Tucker Max is well beyond his college years is what is most disturbing and amusing here. Honestly, I knew several guys in college who were a lot wilder than Tucker, with FAR better stories. Throughout 2/3 of this book I was nonplussed, waiting for the exciting or outrageous part of his repetitive and somewhat boring stories.

Tucker Max is one crazy guy. This book was very entertaining and at times hardly believable. I was really excited about jumping into his second book after reading some of his adventures and mishaps in this one.
