I enjoyed this entire Hot Zone series. This story involved Amy (Spencer's not York's niece as the three previous stories)a new publicist/handler at the Hot Zone and Athletes Only agency and John Roper a star center fielder coming off a bad season. They both have overbearing families to deal with and they are faced with the challenges of a new relationship in the public eye. There is much resentment at John due to a World Series loss and and injury and both the public and the media focus their anger at John. The story also involves many minor characters including the majority of the main characters and many of the secondary characters from previous books. There is also a fun romance between John's mother, a former movie star and a director, older secondary characters. This is usual in Ms. Phillips books and works well here. I enjoyed this story and would recommend it.
