This was an enjoyable read. Fast paced and interesting, well written, I wished it had covered more than just 1 day in this hotel.

This is a fun read, written in a chatty breezy manner, and provides many interesting, helpful insights into the inner workings of an upscale hotel. Quite engrossing, actually. Perfect for bedtime reading.
I had no idea how high the markups were on hotel food and drinks, or how to prevent being "bumped" due the hotel practice of overbooking.
The BBC has made a 3 season series of the book, which I also enjoyed.
