First, you should know that this title is the same as The Orchid House! The story is beautifully written as are all of Lucinda Riley's novels. They have deep, satisfying characters, great historical background, and a story that goes between the past and the present. I wholeheartedly recommend them all; however be sure to check that you haven't read one already under a different title. I wish that someone (writers, publishers, or reviewers) would let us know this when a "new" title is published.

[Hothouse Flower] by Lucinda Riley is also published under the title of [The Orchid House]. It is a historical fiction about two families who are forever entwined by secrets and switches time frames between WWII and the present. Lucinda Riley has excellent writing skills and really knows how to pull your heart strings. She keeps you interested from the beginning to the end of the book with non-stop twists and turns. Her characters are fascinating and show you how people were affected by the war and many lives were changed. I loved reading about the exoticism of Thailand and how the East and West came together and impacted lives of many also. I look forward to reading more of Lucinda Riley's books in the near future. I would highly recommend this book to those who like romantic WWII novels.
