From the back of the book:

The year is 1966.
JFK is dead. The Vietnam War is in full swing. The 60s are tearing America apart.
Except in Millhouse, where life - and death - go on as they always have, under the watchful eyes of the house of Caine. Millhouse, the town that Robert Martin once called home - until its terrible secret drove him out.
Now Millhouse's lost son has returned, carrying chaos and death. Searching for his past, Rob Martin threatens to expose Millhouse's darkest secrets to the burning light of day. When Rob Martin enters the house of Caine, he will bring death to all within - unless they kill him first!

It took a little while to get into this book, but once I did I was hooked. Quite a different take on vampires with some twists and turns not expected. Quite interesting and enjoyable!
