LeBlanc is an excellent writer. I throughly enjoyed this story from beginning to end. *****
Very good supernatural thriller - LeBlanc rocks!~
This was a great book! A ghost story that keeps you going until the very end. The mother of 4 young boys loses her last child and as she is going out of her mind her husband comes home drunk late in the evening. She accuses him of cheating on him but he just says she is crazy. The woman decides she wont let him tear her family apart and so she turns on the gas heat and blows out each pilot light and then lies in the hall between the childrens room as the house fills with fumes.... later when a company buys the lot to build on they offer the house to a contractor for nothing if he will move it off the lot. He decides to cut the house in half and make two shops out of it. In the process he divided the family that is still in the house...... and the mother is not going to rest until her family is back together.
I couldn't put this book down until I was finished!!!!

It was a great book, right up to the ending, the ending really was not an ending, the author didn't explain anything, hate that in a other wise awsome book!
First time reading this author's work. I was so glad I did! This book peaked and held your interest chapter by chapter. One of the 'best' spooky stories I've ever read and believe me, I've read a bunch! Highly recommend this to others.
Keith Lafleur, Louisiana's largest and greediest building contractor, thinks he's cut the deal of a lifetime. The huge old, two-story, clapboard house is his for the taking as long as he can move it to a new location. It's too big to move as is, but Lafleur's solution is simple: divide it in half. He has no idea, though, that by splitting the house he'll be dividing a family - a family long dead, a family that still exists in the house, including a mother who will destroy anyone who keeps her apart from her children.
