Somewhat of a Big Yawn for me. Busy mother/realtor/daughter hires housekeeper for her mother who suffers from Parkinson's. Father has been taking care of mother in their large, two-story home but he's approaching 80 and tired. Daughter Jodi shoulders responsibilities while her sister Tracy is spoiled brat who only takes money from parents and doesn't help in any way. You see the family dynamics right away, a story told so many times in so many novels. Yawn.

Jodi hires Elyse, a talented and capable housekeeper who loves taking care of everyone. Jodi, of course, delighted to have some of her responsibilities removed from her shoulders, misses so many red flags. My eyes hurt from rolling them throughout this novel. Yawn.

Mother falls down the stairs (even tho they have elevator), Dad becomes confused and napping all the time. Red Flag = yawn. I won't bore you with side story of Jodi's cheating husband. Yawn.

No spoilers but it all ends as predicable as a Hallmark Movie.
This is my first time reading a Joy Fielding novel. I'm hoping others are better!
