This is a mystery with many layers. It kept me turning pages. Our protagonist is relentless in pursuing the answers, risking everything to the point of recklessness. At times, I felt quite frustrated with him. However, he comes through and this tale holds some surprises. Well done!
Kimberly Crepeaux confesses to her role in the murder of Hackie Pelletier and Ian Kelly but people know she is a liar. Rob Barrett, FBI investigator, is left to figure out the truth. Koryta has written a complex plot with lots of twists and turns. His characters are well-fleshed and believable. The tension builds and we finally learn the truth in the surprise ending. Iâm looking forward to reading more of his books.
