Wonderful story set in the 1950's featuring Teaspoon, a precocious 10-year-old girl with a big personality. I really enjoyed the theme of being true to yourself. Another great read from Kring.

This is a book about hopes, dreams and friendships. Teaspoon was left behind with her mother's boyfriend when her mother decided to hit Hollywood and make it big. Years later she returns, only to find that Teaspoon now has her own dreams of making it big.
Great story about how one child can make a big difference in many lives

I loved this book. So far I have liked every book I have read by Sandra Kring. This one is written from the POV of the main character who is a 10 year old child abandoned by her mother and has lived with the mother's ex-boyfriend for the last five years. But ma is about to return at a very pivotol point in the little girl's life and may upset everything that the boyfriend has done to make a decent home for "Teaspoon" a little girl who loves to sing.

I loved this book. It was a delightful story. Keep 'em coming Sandra Kring. I've loved them all so far!
Sweet and sad, enjoyable.
My first Sandra Kring book, but I did not enjoy it. I could not believe that the voice of Teaspoon was coming from a 10 year old girl. It was too quick and flippant.
