If you are curious about the adult industry, read this book. I doubt you could find more honest information about it anywhere else. She lays it all out in a frank manner which I enjoyed. Scattered throughout the book are fun things like Dancer Injuries 101 and The 10 Commandments of Killer Head.
Her story is entertaining although maybe not unique. In the end, I found it a bit sad. All in all, an engrossing read.

I liked this book much more than I thought I would. A very frank (and graphic) autobiography, Jameson tells how she began as a stripper and worked her way up to one of the most well-known adult film stars of today. She comes across as a real person and shows her vulnerable side through her writing.

I found this book to be utterly compelling. It chronicles her evolution from an unpopular student to stripper to porn star. In the end she is like everyone else. I found that it really is a cautionary tale. She has no problem saying all the down sides to what she does. Just like in any other career. Very compelling. Great read!

I love celebrity biographies and memoirs, and this one did not disappoint. I've always wondered why someone like Jenna, who is beautiful and smart and seems so normal, could end up in the porn industry. After reading her story you come to understand how she ended up where she did. She writes with brutal honesty and makes no apologies for the choices she made. I'm rooting for her and I hope she finally finds the love that she is so desperately searching for.

This isn't literature by any means, but it was a good read. It was just weird to hear such a frank discussion about the adult industry. Has pictures too. lol

This was an awful book. The writing is terrible (she refers to genitals as ding dings?), 1/3 of the book is pictures, 1/3 is unnecessary (like her boring diary entries from when she was 12), and the remaining 1/3 is just barely engaging.
The actual parts worth reading include advice she gives to both men and women who want to break into the industry as well as a few experiences with some of the celebrities she has encountered such as Bruce Willis, Marilyn Manson, Wesley Snipes and Tommy Lee.
Everything else is a cliched history many would expect from a porn star: rape, daddy issues which later manifest into poor choices and abusive relationships, and her equation of her self- worth to her sexuality (which she never really acknowledges in depth).

This book is not for the faint of heart...relatively graphic and not the greatest writing in the world. Interesting read however.

This book was awesome, I completely enjoy reading about people lives. This book is def not for the faint of heart and if you read in public you will get many looks...one for the cover and two for the multitude of pictures of Jenna! I read this book on a flight and even though it was like 500 pages I finished it on the round trip. Amazing read!
I've been wanting to read this book for many, many years. Pretty much ever since it came out. I finally had the opportunity to read it after discovering the MN LINK system. (inter-library loans are the best thing ever!!) I was surprised to see it was almost 600 pages and filled with tons of Jenna photos.
Most people might turn away from this book for one reason, she is a porn star. That did not scare me away. It is a great memoir and she has a very interesting story to tell. I found it hilarious when she dropped a few celeb names and her encounters with them. She went through rape, bad relationships, drug use and so much more, but she survived and actually made a business for herself in the end. Overall this was a great read and I would recommend it to anyone who isn't scared to read about someone's life so drastically different from their own. you might learn a few things!
