I have a big heavy bath towel that has ripped.  Any unique ideas for recycling?

Thanks, there were some ideas there that I hadn't seen before.

I've heard about most of the ideas on the site but go for the easiest and fastest ones.  What works for me?  Cutting into dishcloth and rag box pieces.  Hemming a side to make smaller towels.  Using for potholder and hot pads covered with new colorful fabric to brighten up the kitchen.  Drying the car you've just washed or the dog who needed a bath.  Animal shelters also welcome donations and that makes me feel very good.

A friend with a pet rat is always looking for old towels. I think she uses them for bedding.
