I wish I liked this book. I didn't care for Moran's "voice" as an author, I thought her schtick on just about every subject seemed like a tired and uninspired regurgitation of sentiments I've heard or read hundreds of times in my lifetime. Ooooh having a baby hurts! Oooh getting married and having a fancy wedding doesn't = happy marriage. Oooh once I was fat but now the boys love me. Every chapter I just thought "who cares, who cares, who cares?" I have no idea how it gets 4 stars on here.

This book gets great reviews elsewhere. The back cover reads "provocative observations", "laugh-out-loud", "rapier wit", "humor, insight and verve" so I was expecting a great book. It wasn't. It starts the story when Caitlin was a vulgar 13 year old. She ages, gets a life, gets married, gets a job but yet the whole book has a vulgar 13 year old mentality. It just wasn't funny at all. One star.
