Katherine Ridgemont had grown up in Moriah's Landing, had heard all the stories about the mysterious Ries family. None of which could be true. But Jonah Ries attracted her like no other man and the sense of impending doom that hovered over Katherine couldn't be explained. Evil stalked Moriah's Landing, and Katherine Ridgemont was its target, just like her mother before her. Jonah always seemed to be around, watching her... or stalking her. For the Reis family, one might be the same as the other.
