This book was actually the first I'd read of this series. It was good enought to make me grab up the others. It stood pretty well on it's own but I definitely appreciate it more having read the first 6 now. In this book we get to see what happens with Jamie & Jeremy(wish there'd been more.) There is also interaction with Elena & Clay and Eve & Kristoff are back too.

WOW! This is the best of the series so far! Jaime and Jeremy, an unlikely pairing, get a chance to discover their relationship while solving a crime that leads to the involvement of some of my favorite Armstrong characters: Eve, Kristof, and glimpses of Savannah. She also throws in new characters that I expect to see in future novels.
Ms Armstrong has the ability to make a Mary Higgins Clark type novel, in the paranormal realm, but throwing in more romance. This book has the most "sex" that you will find in the books yet, BUT, it is not graphic or erotic, it is pleasantly romantic and suggestive. AND WOW! The creativity in the porch scened with Jeremy and Jaime is like none other I have read! Steamy without being distasteful!
This one got a rare, 5-star rating from me!

This book suprised me. When I read the back of it and found out what the contents where about Jaime Vegas and teaming up with other humans who can "contact the dead" I was more or less turned off by it. But being the trooper I am and knowing how much ive loved this series thus far I kept on. And I am glad I did, I loved this book! You do get to see some of the other characters in this book too. Jeremy, Karl, Kristof, and Eve. Also Jaime may just get her wish granted when her love interest Jeremy comes to visit. All in all I really enjoyed this book!

Necromancer Jaime Vegas is in Los Angeles to try raise the ghost of Marilyn Monroe for a reality TV show. But when she is sitting in the garden behind the house they are using, ghosts of murdered children (buried in the garden) keep touching and poking her. She knows they are there, but for some reason she can't make contact with them. So, with the help of Jeremy and others in the council, Jaime is trying to find out what exactly happened to these children.
Excellent addition to the "Women of the Otherworld" series.

I really enjoyed getting to know Jamie Vegas in this book, and having the previouse characters woven into the plot in this series gives it an added bonus.
