Another great bizarro read from Mellick. In this book, magic is like a drug. The more you use it, the more it turns you. So much so that you're not good enough to live is the regular world but instead get sent to Hell's Bottom. There you are stuck with others like you where if you continue using magic you become so transformed, no one can recognize you. Mellick takes this story and combines many short stories throughout the book to put together different characters who have been altered by magic in one way or another. Very creative and interesting.
