This book was funny as hell! Reminded me in tone of the early Anita Blake books: snarky, sexy, 1st-person heroine, shape-shifting werewolves, rockin' love scenes, and great character development. I just discovered Handeland and will be looking to read her backlist!

This is a really good book. I couldn't put it down. I look forward to reading the other books in this series. This is the 2nd book in her moon series.

Though this can be read as a standalone, it's best if read immediately following Blue Moon, since Jessie and Will, the heroine and hero of the first book, play such a pivotal role in this one. They aren't the primary focus, however. That belongs to Leigh, the damaged Jager-Sucher, and Damien, the lithe, sad bartender who fascinates her. Leigh is hard and nearly broken, facts she well recognizes about herself even as she falls to them time and time again. Damien is just as broken, and trying to put himself together. The two of them are perfect for each other, and though the romantic arc takes a backseat to the action, it doesn't suffer. A solid, entertaining entry to the series.

Excellent story. First book of hers I've read. I liked her short stories and i'm glad I tried her book. Can't wait for the others to get posted so I can read them too.

I was expecting more out of this book because I liked the first one in this series (Blue Moon) so much. I think that this book had too much sex in it. I know there was sex in the first one also but it just seemed like this one went a little overboard.
That said I still liked the story. I liked the character Leigh, she showed what I think most powerful women feel, that there is a soft side to them also (no matter how much they try to cover it up). I liked that Jessie was still a part of this book. While we didn't get to read her thoughts I still like her as a character and was happy that she was in this book also.
I will be reading the rest of the series. I think that the author is great and even though this one was a little heavy on making love it was still well written. Great character development and good story line.

GREAT WEREWOLF SERIES,CAN'T WAIT TO READ MORE.
Great paranormal romance.
Great book! Third in a series from Lori Handeland. Her books just keep getting better and better.
An enjoyable read. Werewolves. Romance.
Entertaining.
This is a good, solid book. Fulfills my need for a bit of mystery and violence, friendship and passion.
loved this one.
Former kindergarten teacher Leigh Tyler's world came crashing down when her family, fiancé and dreams were slaughtered. Now Leigh is devoted to hunting down the werewolves that destroyed her life. A highly trained member of the hunters, aka Jager-Suchers, Leigh is summoned by her boss Edward to Crow Valley, Wisconsin, where something strange is going on.
Edward wants Leigh to help train a new recruit. Upon arriving, Leigh has an immediate run-in with a werewolf; she also runs into a disconcerting man named Damien Fitzgerald. Since the death of her fiancé, Leigh has had no interest in men, but something about Damien re-ignites a flame. But Damien may not be what he seems, and Leigh dare not expose another man to danger.

Leigh Tyler was once a kindergarten teacher with starry-eyed dreams-dreams that turned into nightmares when the biggest mistake she ever made came back to tear her world apart....
My first time reading this author and I may check out the rest of the series. This story was enjoyable but I felt the ending was a bit rushed and left me vaguely unsatisfied.
good premise, good plot, good characters. writing style is very long-winded and too detailed.

Leigh has been called to Wisconsin for something big. As long as it means killing fanged and furry demons, she's up for it. But the orst is yet to come, because something stronger and smarter than the average beast is on the prowl...and it's doing Leigh's work for her. Intoxicating and intriguing. Damien Fitzgerald is making Leigh question her vow never to let another man into her bed, or her heart. Every moment with him brings forth familiar-and dangerous-urges. Urges that may prove too strong to resist. Leigh's job is a dance with death, and she has no intention of letting Damien become involved and het hurt. Especially now that she knows her enemy is watching from the forest. Waiting for her first wrong step...
