Took me a while to get into this one--maybe I couldn't connect with the whole hurricane thing since I live in earthquake country (?) but once it got on a roll, I really enjoyed the story and found I couldn't put it down. Kept me guessing until the end (well--almost). Good. fast-paced summer read (especially if you live in Florida--if you don't, skip the little annoying weather reports at the beginning of every chapter, like I did).

Very good book....excellent descriptions of the area and weather conditions and will keep you guessing until the end!
This was a great story....kept me on the edge the whole time!

Was pretty slow and plodding. Predictable ending, and the love story part was not explored in any detail, just thrown in all at once. Not bad, just not overly good.

5 stars.
Was very different and lept me interested all the way thru.
2nd book I have read of hers. She is a good author.
Enjoyed it. Very fast paced. The chapters are short and the story moves along very quickly. Full of suspense with just a hint of romance. Not too sappy like other romance/suspense stories.
Another great KH book!
Another excellent Karen Harper book
I enjoyed reading it.
Not her best but an ok read.
Very good suspenseful novel.
Great story, that keeps you wanting to turn the pages to see what happens next. A must read!
Two kids missing, killers on the prowl, a hurricane coming in, and a little romance, it doesn't get much better than this! I loved it!
great quick read.
Counselor Julie Minton has renovated her family's Osprey resort on one of the 10,000 islands near Naples, Florida so that she can bring teen cutters for a few weeks of therapy. The other counselor Kaylin McKenzie "arranges" for Julie's fourteen year old daughter Randi to share a water jet ski with seventeen years old Thad Brockman; the younger teen has a crush on the older boy. When they fail to return with Hurricane Dana bearing towards the islands, Julie panics.
Julie meets with Thad's dad charter fishing operator Zack, a former military Special Ops soldier. The widower agrees that they should search for Randi and Thad though he feels they are all right and probably out of gas on one of the smaller islands. However, as they begin their search starting with asking his estranged in-laws if they stopped there, Randi and Thad are in deeper trouble than anyone can imagine, having been netted by drug traffickers.
Karen Harper provides a powerful romantic suspense thriller that never slows down until the final confrontation in the eye of the storm. The storyline is action-packed as a frantic Julie and a calm but concerned Zack search for their missing children before Hurricane Dana strikes, but are unaware that the kids are in deeper water with the drug dealers who they know. Though the romance seems inane, rushed and unnecessary with so much else going on, fans will enjoy this exhilarating Type 4 drama.

LOVED IT! A real page turner. Different from other Karen Harper books, but great.
Good hurricane story. Being a Floridian I am very familiar with hurricanes so I found this interesting. For some reason I ended up with two copies of this book.
This was a great book. . . suspense, hurricanes, romance, believable characters. You'll enjoy this one.
