This is different from Koontz's other books, but a fast-paced thriller that is hard to put down! It is a very cold book (aptly named). A great read.

I've been a Dean Koontz fan through all his novels, but this one just fell short. It wasn't particularly scary, nor was it involving or abstract. It missed his typical humor and grace and came up as a sort of devoid lost novel. I wouldn't suggest it.

I really enjoyed reading this one. It was a departure from the usual Koontz "formula". The action in this one was fast-paced. The science believable and interesting. The story was a little bit too predictable but a very good read, nonetheless. It may not sound like it, but I am a Koontz fan.

My least favorite Koontz. More predictable than most with not nearly as many turns. However, it's still a good thriller for a cold day.

I found this book so compelling and the concept so intriguing. Only DK could make even the most innocent situations terrifying.

A completely different book from what Koontz usually writes. This was originally realeased as "Prison of Ice" penned under David Axton

I've read a lot of Dean Koontz books and this is one of the most suspenseful in my opinion. Good book!

An unlikely Koontz book. I had just finished Intensity and wanted another non-wierdo Koontz book. This book would have made a great 50s monster movie to watch with my grandma.

A stunning and suspenseful thriller, about humanity's continuous and sometimes futile battle against nature from one of the most popular and bestselling authors in America.
Conducting a strange and urgent experiment of the Arctic icefield, a team of scientists has planted sixty powerful explosive charges that will detonate at midnight. Before they can withdraw to the safety of the base camp, a shattering tidal wave breaks loose the ice on which they are working. Now they are hopelessly marooned on an iceberg during a violent winter storm. The bombs beneath them are buried irretrievable deep . . . and ticking. And they discover that one of them is an assassin with mission of his won. This is classic Koontz.

Not to be read during a blizzard. Action packed with good characters

A little confusing since it's listed as a paperback and then in the description it says it's 4 cassettes read by John Glover.

"Jammed with the tensions of imminent disaster. The whole thing unfolds with the timing of a quartz watch."--Chicago Tribune
