I liked Rosie a lot better. The same rhythm is present here but the illustrations are more inappropriate for my 3 yr old (naked bums in the first two pages). It seemed more discouraging of the main character in terms of the teacher's behavior and I didn't like that it took something so drastic (being stranded on an island) for her to come around. I like the concept and love architecture so wish I could have liked this one but won't be reading again. Highly recommend Rosie's story though.
