This book stands up to time. A very entertaining read nearly 17 years after it was published. If you like the "kidnapping" theme, I recommend this one.

Elise Ramsey was to be the star defense witness at a murder trial, an alibi for a man who was guilty. Bounty hunter and ex-cop Dylan Davis didn't want her testifying because the man was guilty of killing his girlfriend. To keep her from testifying, he kidnaps her. But the more he realized he was acting like a criminal himself he felt guilty. He was determined to see justice done but hadn't figured on falling in love with the woman he thought was his enemy's woman.
