I really loved this book. Luca is a relatable character as he tries to deal with issues of faith, God, family, friendship, forgiveness, and acceptance. His blessing/curse of long life makes it harder for him to understand his life and meaning of his life. There are great secondary characters...some of whom were real people...Leonardo da Vinci, Bottacelli, and the Medici family. I loved the author's portrayal of da Vinci and his relationship with Luca. Overall, a great book...I only wish it would have included more details in Part 2.

What a great read! I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. Traci Slatton writes so visually that you have no trouble picturing characters and surroundings. I could not put this book down and I look forward to more work from this author.
