What a great story! Two sisters who look so much alike that the servents often mistake them for one another switch places on the day of the older sisters wedding. A great ruse to deceive Lord Kelan, the bride groom goes astray and the plot thickens. If you like stories with castles, maidens, lords and ladies and hot steamy love science, you'll like this book set in 13th century Wales!

Kiera owes her twin a favor and has to repay by marrring her betrothed. He is unsuspecting until after he has already fallen for her.
From amazon.com:
To repay the debt she owes her sister, Kiera of Lawenydd reluctantly agrees to pretend to be Elyn during her wedding day so that her sister can have one last night with the lover she must give up to marry Lord Kelan, the "Beast of Penbrooke." Since Kelan has never seen Elyn, Kiera hopes their scheme will succeed, but everything depends on her keeping Kelan drunk enough to not want a wedding night with his new bride. Unfortunately, after the wedding Kiera finds there isn't enough wine in all of Wales to keep Kelan from sampling his new wife, but even more surprising to her is just how much she enjoys Kelan's sensual skills. When Elyn doesn't show up the next day as promised, Kiera is trapped in a lie and left desperately trying to deceive her dangerous, all too attractive new husband. Jackson's strong, vivid characters and bold writing style will please readers who want their medieval romances to be adventurous and sensually passionate.

Setting - North Wales 1286
Three years earlier, one of the very independent daughters of the Baron of Lawenydd, Kiera, slipped out to steal a ride on her father's prize stallion, along the way she was thrown, the stallion ran away, and she was attacked and almost raped. Her sister Elyn came upon the attack and saved Kiera's life and from that moment on Kiera vowed to do ANYTHING for Elyn that she asked to repay the debt. Never, in her wildest imaginings would Kiera have thought that she would have to pretend and marry Elyn's betrothed, Lord Kelan of Penbrooke!

Absolutely no plot to this story. The outcome is obvious and the characters are blah! Lisa Jackson is a great authour when it comes to mysteries but if this is an example of her romance books then I won't be reading any more of them. I'll stick to her mysteries as there she can't be beat.
Medieval story of two sister. One trusting and the other selfish. Setting is Wales and has a bit of mystery
Two sisters that look so much alike to switch places and fool just about everyone. I loved it.
A powerful new medieval romance in which a secret betrayal ignites unbridled passion between a lord and his lady.... â Kiera of Lawenydd couldn't believe what she'd done. Owing her sister a favor, Kiera promised to pose as Elyn on her wedding day. The ruse was to last just one night, but the following morning Elyn was nowhere to be found! Surely Kiera wouldn't have to spend the rest of her life wedded to the baron picked out for her sister, a man to whom she could never admit the depths of her deception -- even as her desire for him grew impossible to resist.
It was obvious to Lord Kelan of Penbrooke that something was amiss with his new bride. But despite his misgivings, he couldn't deny that he was falling in love with the dark-haired beauty. Until he uncovered exactly what she was up to, Kelan would keep the mysterious woman by his side -- all the while keeping the fierce stirrings of his heart a well-guarded secret....
