Was Pearl Harbor really a surprise? Some think FDR knew all about it but remained silent. Was there a conspiracy to cover up this knowledge with the usual twisted facts and scapegoats?
John Toland has been fearless in his pursuit of truth. INFAMY is nt only readable and suspenseful; it is probably his most controversial book to date - John D. Eisenhower
To me, this was not a very readable book. And as a history major, I got quite good at reading difficult books, but I still could not do it. Perhaps it was because I never studied Pearl Harbor in any depth in school, and was just too unaware of the real happenings to understand the book. I'll just let someone else enjoy it.
