Isabella Joubert inherits a computer disk from her father...a disk that lists names related to his illegal international arms dealing. She is determined to hand it over to the authorities, but someone else has other plans for the information and suddenly people are turning up dead. After being estranged from her family for the past seven years Isabella Joubert goes home to Florida to visit her father on his deathbed. His last words before dying were that he wanted her to have a disk and where to find it. Isabella is confused but retrieves the mysterious disk.
A week later, back in Chicago, Isabella finds what the disk really is. A list of names. Names of people who her father bribed. Immediately Isabella plans to turn the disk over to the FBI, but then she notices the name of her ex-lover Sandro Marchese.
Dismayed by her discovery, Isabella is more than determined to turn the disk over to the authorities. But before Belle has a chance her house is broken into, her neighbor is murdered and she is on the run, all because somebody wants that disk. In desperation Belle is forced to turn to Sandro to help save her brother and her own life.
Jasmine Cresswell has once again written a fast paced, exciting read. Although not as exciting as The Disappearance or The Daughter, The Inheritance is sure to please.
