Wow, you want to know betrayal then read this book. Poor Belle, she thought she finally got away from her melodramatic family only to be thrown right back into the fold after her dying father intrusts her with a CD-ROM. Belle thought it would be simple as just turning it over to the proper authorities at the right time. She knew that she had a valuable well sought after disk, but she didn't think kidnappings would take place or dead bodies would show up. Great read, i highly recommend this book.

A disk. A simple disk that named names. That was Isabella Joubert's inheritance from her father, a man she loved but could not trust. To right his wrongs, she was determined to turn the incriminating list over to authorities. But danger was stalking her.

After being estranged from her family for the past seven years Isabella Joubert goes home to Florida to visit her father on his deathbed. His last words before dying were that he wanted her to have a disk and where to find it. Isabella is confused but retrieves the mysterious disk.
A week later, back in Chicago, Isabella finds what the disk really is. A list of names. Names of people who her father bribed. Immediately Isabella plans to turn the disk over to the FBI, but then she notices the name of her ex-lover Sandro Marchese.

Dismayed by her discovery, Isabella is more than determined to turn the disk over to the authorities. But before Belle has a chance her house is broken into, her neighbor is murdered and she is on the run, all because somebody wants that disk. In desperation Belle is forced to turn to Sandro to help save her brother and her own life.

Jasmine Cresswell has once again written a fast paced, exciting read. Although not as exciting as The Disappearance or The Daughter, The Inheritance is sure to please.
