The third and final book of the "Foreigner" trilogy, Inheritor finds Bren Cameron, the representative of humanity to the atevi, up to his ears in the political machinations of both the atevi and his own people. Between being exiled from humans to keep from being arrested or assassinated, and trying to figure out what the atevi are going to do next, he has to count on his few allies. But what if your allies don't have any comprehension of what the word "friend" means?
A recommended read, but make sure you read the previous volumes of the trilogy first.

6 months have passed since the reappearance of the starship Phoenix to the planet of the Atevi--6 months during which the alien Atevi have striven to reconfigure their fledgling space program in a breakneck bid to take their place in the heavens alongside humans.
