A beautiful, tightly-written tale of an unexpected trip through a labyrinth and the creatures encountered there. The rich description really drives this one along, all the way to the center of the maze.

The image Snyder drew in my mind of the musky, lusty, wet-furred faun with a lute in one hand and several women in the other is not one I will ever forget. This is not for children...because of this aforementioned faun.
