It's a different kind of book. A bit on the dark side and intense.

Wow, this is an excellent first novel, amazingly, written by a 19 year old. A Lolita-esque story of manipulation, domination, emotional hurt. It was quite captivating, but definitely not for everyone. Erotic and intense, it made me both sad and angry.

The story of a predatory, sociopathic 16 year old who sets her sights on a school teacher. Every time that you begin to feel any sympathy for the narrator, she quickly pulls you back. Quite a psychological thriller!! The fact that the author was just 19 blows me away; this is mature writing.

I thought this was a great book, I was hooked from the beginning. If you are a Lolita fan, give this one a try.

Frankly I found this overrated, as I think of all the re-imaginings of Lolita that have come out in recent decades, this one was amateurish. Nonetheless it is a quick and dirty read with pop-psychological ticklings that you'll giggle at if the subject matter is the type that intrigues you.
