Excellent, character driven stories. This book is told from numerous viewpoints telling the story of five different people and how their lives are interwoven. It is told in different time periods, moving forward and backward. The author was able to make this work in a manner which made sense, a bit like how we get to know others, not in chronological order. The book is unusual and difficult to put a synopsis into words, but I found myself vested in the characters' lives and curious where she took them.
