This whole series is excellent. Ken Gire is wonderful and insightful. This should be read as a devotional (17 chapters), but can be read as a whole. Each "moment" is seperated into three parts: Scripture, meditation and prayer. This book and all the books in the "Moments" series are absolute favorites of mine and come highly recommended. I'm only passing on this book because I have all volumes in one! I hope you enjoy it and pass it on too!

A devotional tapestry, richly woven from threads of Scripture, meditation, and prayer. it captues the intimate moments Jesus spent with individuals and how those moments forever changed their lives. With these people you will reach out to touch the hem of His garment.

This little book is wonderful. Inside it says not to read all at once, just little pieces at a time. I could not, the more I read the more I wanted. There are 17 short stories that are each broken up into 3 parts. The first part is the "Scripture" The scripture is taken from the bible but it is written in modern easy to understand language. The second part is "Meditation." The meditation is an equally easy to read translation of the scripture. The meditation is written in every day language that even my 7 year old could understand. The stories are beautifully told and you almost feel like you were there as an observer. The third and final part is an open-ended prayer that ties everything together. It is open ended so that you may add to the prayer if you choose. This book is just 17 really great short stories. I highly recommend it.

This 145-page book is a devotional tapestry woven from parts of Scripture, prayer, and meditation. It will help you relive moments when Jesus changed the lives of others such as Mary, Martha, Nicodemus, the woman at the well, Peter, and many others. As you walk where He walked and learn the intimate lessons He taught, it can be a life-changing moment for you too.

"To be painfully realistic, the best most folks can hope for is a few moments a day from which fresh perspective can be gleaned. That won't come from entertaining moments at the movies or from quick moments in the newspaper or from boring moments staring at late-night talk shows. What we need first and foremost are intimate moments with the Savior...time spent all alone with Him, watching His model, listening to His counsel, feeling His touch. We need some way to connect our temporal world with His eternal perspective." (from Forward)

Ken Gire is the best-selling author of the Intimate Moments with the Savior SERIES of devotional books and of "Windows of the Soul."
