If anything this book is better than the previous Collegium Chronicles book. It is fast paced and an easy read. I read it in one evening, or two if you count reading until 4am ( who needs sleep ) The main character also continues to develop from the previous novel. I can't wait to see what happens in the next one. I almost did not buy this book because of a bad review. Its a good thing I know people have different tastes, that and I couldn't imagine Lackey writing anything really bad.
Awful. Mercedes Lackey is one of my favorite authors and I was really looking forward to this book. What a disappointment. I couldn't finish it - a first for a Valdemar novel.
