A mystery that keeps you guessing to the end. Love the location descriptions of Lake Tahoe and Carmel. I just don't get the relationship with Nina and Paul though. The author(s) needs to get this into better perspective.

Nina Reilly, Tahoe lawyer, has her work really cut out for her this time defending her ex-lover, the father of her so. O'Shaughnessy doesn't disappoint. Great story. I like the mix of Nina's personal life and her legal practice. Good characters.
Four stars. 2nd in series and I look forward to all the others. Like most series best read in order but I haven't and thoroughly enjoyed each one. This is about my sixth. I'm trying to get the on hand to read in order from now own.

Perri O'Shaughnessy has never let me down for good reading. As always, their characters leave you scratching your head as to whether they are the good guys or bad. I've read a few of the books in the series (not in order) now and have yet to pick the true bad guy out of the cast of possible villians. All in all a very good read!

Described as "legal thriller" but not too much legal-ease to interpret. Very good book!
A REALLY GOOD READ
I loved this book...I wish I had started at the first novel they published and then read in sequence...but it didn't matter, it was full of surprises and excitement every step of the way!
Very good book. This is the first book I read from the O'Shaughnessy's and I've been hooked ever since.
Really enjoyed this one!!

If you like legal thrillers, this is for you. Nina Reilly is always enjoyable.
"An Excellent Legal Thriller." Nina's client is Terry London, a filmmaker whose documentary about a missing girl is raising disturbing questions. The girl's distraught parents believe the film invades their privacy. But Terry's butal murder changes everything....
Good legal thriller!
Nina does it again, amid a murder mystery she has the attention of more than one man!
Publishers Weekly: "A Deft, multileveled tale of legal and criminal treachery. A good read
Lights. Camera. Murder. The bloodstains on the courtroom floor belong to attorny Nina Reilly. Months earlier she'd been shot during a heated murder trial. She should have died that day. Instead, Nina has returned to the same Lake Tahoe court. Her only conecession to her lingering fear is g=to give up criminal law. She figures an invasion of privacy lawsuit is a nice, safe civil action that will help her support her young son and pay the bills for her one-woman law office. She figures wrong.
Excellent entry to the Nina Reilly series...even better than the first book.
All of Perri O'Shaugnessy books are good
very good legal thriller
Attorney Nina Reilly defends a filmmaker whose documentary about a missing girl is raising questions. Her parents believe the film invades their privacy.
Second in the series. Great series of books revolving around the life of attorney and single mom Nina Reilly. Suspenseful and complex.
A new author to me and i will look for more of theirs. Great thriller keeps you guessing until the last page.
Another Nina Reilly mystery. This time she has been shot during a heated murder trail. She should have died that day, instead Nina has returned to the same courtroom. Her only concession to her lingering fear is ti give up criminal law. She figures an invasion of privacy lawsuit is a a nice, safe civil action that will help her support her young son and pay the bills for her one woman law office. She figures WRONG. These are enjoyable books with a good lead character. These sisters write well together.
Another good story about Nina Reilly. She is recovering from her attack in the courtroom, and decides to take on a nice safe civil lawsuit. Oops! It turns out to be just as dangerous. As always, you can't keep a good woman down. She is really great. Anyone who loves Perry O'Shaughnessy books will love this one.
Another GREAT Nina Reilly legal thriller! She's definitely one of my new favorite literary characters!
Nina is hired to defend a filmmaker who is not what she seems at first. Than the filmmaker is murdered and Nina must help someone from her prove his innocence Very good book
I like how the authors of this book combine their knowledge of courtroom drama and psychological intrigue.
A fast paced thriller.
