this book was a real eye opener for me. this was not my generation but it was something
that i'd always been interested in finding more about. yoshiko presents he story without
bitterness and without bias. her story gives the reader pause in light of our current
events around the world. she not only gives meaning and awareness of what the Japanese
went through but does it with color and a realness that puts you right beside her.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Quick read and very interesting. What a piece of American history!
