This is my first by this author and I am anxious to read the rest in this series. A great start for the series, I found this book quite different than most mystery series. The principle character, Torrey, is a flawed, but likeable character. Interesting setting and premise -- an American translator, living in the Irish countyside -- and the plot, satisfyingly twisted.

I loved this whole series. And I started with the second book then had to come back and read the first. I think this is my favorite mystery series. The main character is interesting and realistic. The village life is so appealing (although people keep getting killed.) The first book sets the stage nicely, but does have enough itrigue that it keeps you guessing.
