H.G. Wells- the man was ahead of his time. In 1896 Wells wrote this terrifying and riveting story. It is a compulsively readable classic science fiction story that poses the question 'what makes us human? what makes us inhuman?' The hero himself struggles with these questions as he struggles for his life, sanity and humanity on Moreau's island, populated only by the mad Moreau, his assistant and the half-human beast people.
