Keeps you guessing, very interesting, i liked it a lot, I thought i knew who did it twice and at the end it was not any of the two.

A terrific muder mystery that also deals with issues like how racism and gossip ruin a small town. The ending left me stunned!

One of the best murder/mysteries I've ever read. Kept me in doubt and guessing till the very end. Easy read, chapters flowed well. Published in 1998, but better than the "cookie-cutter" who done its they put out now, this one is special.
Good book will keep you reading!
Really didn't know "who done it" until the last page - excellent!
"This book is a well-written suspense. I thought I had the mystery figured out in the first two or three chapters and was reading to verify that I was correct. The author never once loses sight of making the reader believe that the police are on the right track, that the real killer has been released on a technicality, that the sniper has a good motive even though he is legally wrong. The identity of the killer is not revealed until the last paragraph- but when the reader reviews the clues, the solution is airtight. I couldn't put the book down." amazon review
very well written without descriptions to irritate you, will keep you guessing and unless you can figure it out (which I did) then it will be at the very end to reveal the murderer---don't peek!
Good read
Keeps you guessing until the end. A good read
VERY GOOD READ, KEPT ME INTERESTED
This is the first time I read a book by this author I will be on the lookout for more. This one I did not want to put down.
This is an excellent murder mystery. I thought I had the killer figured out (and it wasn't the man they arrested), but I was wrong. Definitely a surprise ending, but not a good one.
a suspenseful and provocative thriller
This is a very suspenseful novel. The characters pull you in and you cannot read it fast enough, however the end to me did not answer all of my questions and left me feeling short sided.
great whhodunit
Good murder mystery. Ending is an "Oh My God!!" ending.
very good book
Seward Island is a tranquil community in the heart of the Puget Sound. But now, the daughter of a prominent family has been found murdered, her bloodied body rolled into a carpet and thrown into a Dumpster. While the killing sends police on a search for suspects, it takes the poepl of Seward somewhere else: into their darkest prejudices and their worst fears, and to a very human evil living in their midst.
I thought this was very predictable.
Pretty good. I would recommend it.
Good read--surprise ending.

prejudices and their worst fears and to a very human evil living in their midst.
A whodunit which is a little different. A teenage girl is murdered and the police quickly zero in on an obvious suspect. A lot of time is given to the two main police officers and their developing relationship, the opinion of the townspeople, whose comments we read in the newspaper, and how the case is affecting the various people involved. In the end, the "isolated incident" might not be so isolated after all.
