This is a great medical thriller set in modern-day Japan. The lead character, an American citizen, suspects that his pharacutical comapany has something to do with a deadly plauge that is sweeping the country, killing almost everyone it infects. As he struggles through a web of conspiracy, he tries to survive in an increasingly hostile and dangerous world.

I read it so long ago that I don't remember the specifics, but I remember that I liked it, and that I enjoyed learning about Japan, where part of it takes place.
