I thought this was a great book. Jon Katz is a wonderful writer and I do not think I have read a book he has written that I did not enjoy. Anyone who has a passion for animals will love this book. I certainly did! I have been a dog owner for more than 20 years and I have experienced the very same connection with each and every dog that has been in my life. It warms my heart to read about this special connection that he has shared with all of his animals and how they have been there for him during some of his most difficult times. I can truly relate. I highly recommend this book. Nancy M.

Every time I read a Jon Katz book I say it is my favorite. This book deals a lot with using dogs for hospice visits. Keep your hankie handy - it is worth it!
