I suppose I am pretty slow in many ways studying History, but I just recently noticed this fat book on my History bookshelf titled simply, Twentieth Century. The first 38 pages is called "By Way of Introduction," and Ihave been reading it for an hour and comtemplating what I have just read for two. I don't think I have ever encountered a historian working in an intellectual/philosophical level of such breadth and depth. What might any of you'uns have to share with me concerning Mr. Robert.? |
