I started reading this book and it was like being dropped into the middle of a story already started. I realize this is a series but this is definitely not a stand-alone story. Jace rescues Miri from the Sanctuary after searching for her for a year and then they must find their daughter. There is so much small talk throughout the book that when they do find their daughter in about the last ten pages, it is almost an afterthought. I like werewolves and vamps but I am crossing this series of my list.
Have will get his mate back from the evil Sanctuary, but his is far from HEA. Miri will have a lot of emotions running through her head and feel like a failure when she tells Jace about their daughter that she had early and had to give up before letting the scientist do unspeakable things to their little girl. Clues are found, leads are empty and frustrations are running high to find Faith. But they do help a baby that is near death and Jace wants Miriam to help the baby survive, she was born deformed and left to die, Miri will have mixed emotions with little Peanut. And would have thought a vampire would be Alpha male to a pack of were's, and catch up with Calab his wife Allie, their son, and Jarad and his mate Rasia.
