An interesting "what if type of book." Rae Lawrence steps in and takes Jacqueline Susann's draft idea into the '80s and updates the characters for a more modern world. It is a pretty good read but after having read what Jackie really wrote it sometimes is hard read what someone else writes. After all, there was only one Jacqueline Susann!
It was great to find out what happened to the characters from Valley of the Dolls. A light read. The time frame is ridiculously off, but if you know that and pretend not to notice, you'll enjoy it.

Was so excited to continue on with the characters but disappointed with the bits of smutty romance novel that were snuck in. Could have done with out it and it took all the classiness out of the story.
