This is the first book in the Gallaghers of Ardmore trilogy. Roberts weaves Irish folklore into her stories in sucha a way that makes you almost believe it. Aidan and Jude Frances find their place in the 100-year-old spell that has been cast on a faerie prince and his true love.
A great summer read!

Jude Murray is not happy with her life. So she leaves Chicago and moves to Ireland for a fresh start, intending to study Irish folklore. Soon she meets the Gallaghers and is quite taken with Aidan Gallagher, pub owner and storyteller.
I was really bored with the first 100 pages. This did not seem like a Nora Roberts book. The writing was too lyrical. Finally the story picked up and the characters became more interesting. I was satisfied with the ending of this book and am looking forward to the next book in the series. My rating: 3.5 Stars.

I thouroughly enjoyed this book! It sparks your imagination and makes you want to visit Ireland! This is the second trilogy I have read by Roberts and I enjoy how each book focuses on a seperate main character. And she builds up the characters so well that you feel like you know them and really care what happens to them.
Book one of new trilogy:
from the back cover:
Determined to re-evaluate her life, Jude Murray flees America to take refuge in Faerie Hill Cottage, where she immerses herself in the study of Irish folklore-and discovers hope for the future in the magic of the past...
Finally back home in Ireland after years of traveling, Aidan Gallagher possesses an uncommon understanding of his country's haunting myths. Although he's devoted to managing the family pub, a hint of wildness still glints in his stormy eyes-and in Jude, he sees a woman who can both soothe his heart and stir his blood. And he begins to share the legends of the land with her-while they create a passionate history of their own... book two...Tears of the Moon

Great Irish trilogy.
This is one of Robert's better series.
This is a great love story! I can't wait to read the rest of the series
First in the Irish Trilogy. I love Nora Robert's books.
In her enchanting new trilogy, Nora Roberts returns to the lush green hills of Ireland, where love is forever touched by magic-wjere the Gallager siblings explore the depths of their fiery hearts. A good read.
The first in a 3 part series by Nora Roberts. It leaves you wanting to get the other two books to complete the story.
I really enjoy how Nora Roberts writes trilogies because one book is never enough to fully get to know the characters. This also gives her time to develop the characters from books 2 and 3 in the first one so she can spend more time on the actual stories later on. This book makes you want to keep turning the pages. You feel like you live on Faerie Hill and you can almost smell the flowers in Judes garden.

Nice story, I loved the imagery, and descriptions, made me feel as though I was seeing it for myself. I also enjoyed the mythical aspect.
The Irish Trilogy is overall one of my favorites. This book ties up all the loose ends of everyone's story very neatly, but is my least favorite of the three. Just not as strong as the other two in character and plausibility. Still a good, quick read.
First Gallagher book. Great characters.

As good as the first in the trilogy. Kept me wanting more.
Great Series
My Mom gave me this book and she is a smoker so there is a faint smell of cigarette smoke. Would not be idal for some one with a smoke allergy.
If you love Ireland you will love this series!
Roberts has writtin a wonderful tale, as usual. This is the first in the Irish Trilogy featuring the Gallagher siblings. A hint of paranormal influence lends a bit of magic to the romantic tale. Well done.
I have read this book and it is an excellent one. It is the first in the trilogy. Nora Roberts makes her reader feel as if she is in the story.
Takes place in Ireland and looking into his countries haunting myths.
very good book iti s first in 3 book series
The beginning of a wonderful trilogy in modern times with refrences to ancient irish lore.
The first in the Irish trilogy. It will get you hooked!
Classic Roberts
If you love Ireland, its places and its feeling of magic... you will certainly enjoy this book. Jude travels to Ireland to learn of her ancestry and to write about the Irish mythology. She finds a wonderful storyteller, and that is just the beginning! I highly recommend this book.
I love Nora Roberts and her trilogies, especially the ones with a mystical twist. I couldn't wait to get to the 2nd book.
this is a hardcover and missing jacket.
I enjoyed this book immensly, it is one of Nora Robert's best.
Very nice story, cant wait to read the rest of trilogy!

I am not a huge fan of Nora Roberts but I picked this book up because it takes place in Ireland. She describes Ireland beautifully, so much so, I want to pick up and move there as well. There are parts where I believe she reaches just to add pages to the novel. But all in all, a good book. The characters are solid, witty, and fun. Its a great summer book to loose yourself in!
My favorite or all Nora's series!
This is a great Nora Roberts trilogy, she seemlessly melds reality, fantasy and magic. Every modern girls dream, to find "themself" and find it in a beautiful Irish seaside cottage with a handsome man while the air is filled with magic. This story draws you in and fills the most cynical heart with magic and hope. .
First book in the trilogy - good story!
Great love story.

First of the series and a good read, interesting stuff in the whole series!
I've read a lot of Nora Roberts but this trilogy is the only set of hers that has a permanent slot on my bookshelves. Though I'm not fond of supernatural elements the taste of Ireland she has managed to evoke in these books is too delicious for me to part with a one of them. In this one the eldest of three Irish siblings meets an American psychologist who is spending some time in the area indulging in what she considers a silly desire to write. He agrees to help her with a compilation of folk tales. A romance develops, of course, but the lifestyles of the two characters have nearly nothing in common and neither of them can imagine conforming to the other's ways. The course of love is, naturally, fraught with rocks but I can overlook a lot of formulaic story and supernatural nonsense for the smooth sweet taste of Ireland.
The trilology begins with Jude going to Ireland to explore her family history. You are brought into the magic and music of this family as the legends they believe in.
This was an awesome tale of irish lore and love
She is a good solid writer and I always enjoy anything she writes about Ireland.
Loved it! Fabulous book!
I love all of Nora Roberts Books

great book
This is the first book in the trilogy. I have all three. She is one of the best writers I know. The description of Ireland, the characters and the stories are all first class. Jude Murray comes home to her ancestors roots. She sees ghosts, talks to fairies and finds true love, all in a typical season. I couldn't put the book down.
really liked this trilogy nora one of my favorite autjors
This trilogy of books is a wonderful read that you will want to revisite again and again.

First of a Trilogy
A charming story of the beauty of Ireland, the mythology and the people, this story made me feel I was right there in the glory of the little seaside town it takes place in, in the pub where the main characters meet and interact. It is definitely a feel-good read.

This is a typical Nora Roberts Irish trilogy and even when most of her books end the same, it's a good summer read. Not much beats a sunny day, a glass of iced tea and Nora Roberts.

This is one of the best I have read by Nora Roberts, but I have a love of Irish history and lore and this is what it's all about, set in Ireland and a pretty good love story, but not mushy, mushy like Danielle Steele's books.
