Yet another great book by Meg Cabot. This one deals with finding out who you really are despite what everyone else is telling you, and Jinx does exactly that. It also deals a lot with peer pressure (drugs are involved in the story, along with hints at sex..though exactly what is being done sex wise is never stated..it is very easy to guess), and drinking. This book also shows you what can happen when drugs and alcohol get into your life and how jealousy can destroy you.
Very good story line and a bunch of very good lessons that this book teaches its readers.

Any fan of lighter paranormal and Meg Cabot will definitely enjoy JINX.
This was way to quick of a read. I liked the the characters (both good and bad), I felt like I knew them and the sincerity
of the character Jinx and her personal values. She was the kind of character parents want their teenage daughters to
read about. I wish there was a series about her. The way witchcraft is referenced in this book shows Meg Cabot did a
lot of research just to show girls who idolize these kinds of things it is not fun and games it is serious business not to
be copied or toyed with.
Although it does have the usual Meg Cabot plot, it does not mean that it doesn't have its spontaneous moments. Definitely
a must read if you consider yourself a fan of Meg Cabot's books.
I loved it and recommend it for all girls or adults probably 10 and up.

I really enjoyed this book! I read it in just a few hours because I couldn't put it down. The way the conversation/writing flowed was so easy to read. Parts of it really reminded me though of the movie "The Craft" with Robin Tunney. A bit dark and if you don't want your kids to read about witchcraft, then I wouldn't recommend the book. Otherwise, very good for a quick read.
