"After her mother suddenly leaves home, teenager Julia Scott is given Joanna Scott's journal recording the abiding passion and the tribulations that she and her husband David experienced since their marriage in the 1950s. Interspersed throughout the entries are David's wry, incisive comments." clever format, good book.
Women might enjoy this more than men, but I really liked it.
I read this book a long time ago but remember that I liked it very much.
This book is very good. A husband reads his wifes diary that she has kept for the 25 yrs theyve been married. He thought he knew her, now he sees that he is losing her and why...
I read this some years ago and enjoyed the re-read just as much. Keeps your interest.
He thought he could read her mind...until he read her diary.
David thought he knew Joanna. After twenty-five years, why wouldnt he? But when he finds the journals she has kept through their marriage, he discovers a woman with secrets... A woman he's losing And only now does he discover why.
A Profoundly intimate portrait in a time when the meaning of marriage has irrevocably changed for us all.
This is a really good book. I loved it, I hope whoever gets it from me loves it just as much.

I read this book a quite a few years ago, but remember liking it quite a bit.
I read this book straight through in one day. I enjoyed it- though the ending disappointed, and the story was not as fully fleshed out as I would like. Somehow I keep coming back to Hailey's books- they are enjoyable and thought-provoking in a mild way.
