Cooperstein has written a book of 'faction:' a collection of letters of the Van Gogh family. Cooperstein challenges the reader to ponder ideas: Vincent VanGogh's sanity; the impressionist art, Vincent & his brother, Theo's relationship, Johanna Van Gogh Boulanger, his wife, and other points of interest. Van Gogh's extraordinary talent was unconventional when his art was 'born' in the late 1800's and early 1900's. I enjoyed reading this book, written from a different approach, from other books about Vincent Van Gogh. A fascinating and great read.
